Milan, 13th May 2025 – Bellini Yacht, the business unit of the Bellini Group dedicated to the production of luxury boats, and Arianee, the French company behind the leading DPP solution for durable goods, announce a partnership to develop a digital product passport (DPP) based on the Arianee protocol, for the Astor 36 and Astor 58 models, the two Bellini Yacht brand models currently on the market. Powered by blockchain and open source foundations, these Digital passports will enhance transparency by tracking all lifecycle events of the boats - added over time by certified stakeholders - and enrich the customer experience by unlocking post-purchase services for all successive owners.
In anticipation of the upcoming European regulations, this also marks the first application in the yachting sector of the digital solution introduced by the European Union to provide a detailed overview of a product's sustainability throughout the production process.
The DPP, activated via a QR code on a card provided at delivery, will guarantee customers key information on traceability, authenticity, and quality along the entire supply chain of their yacht, offering details and features such as:
- a digital version of the certificate of authenticity and ownership of the vessel;
- an unalterable chronology of the product's lifecycle, fully traced thanks to the ability for authorized parties to register key events directly in the DPP, including maintenance, repairs, or customizations;
- comprehensive information on the production process, from raw material sourcing to the finished product;
- complete history of ownership transfers; allowing for a continuous link between the Brand and the boat’s successive owners and access to personalized post-purchase services
- invitations to exclusive events and previews of future Bellini Yacht models.
“Today, with this solution, we are redefining the concept of ownership in the yachting world – says Battista Bellini, CEO of Bellini Group – With our Digital Passport, every yacht tells its story, certifies its authenticity, documents the craftsmanship and sustainability of the materials used, and guarantees the quality of the production processes. Everything is tracked and verifiable in real time, thanks to the power of blockchain technology. This tool is much more than a guarantee: it is an act of transparency, a commitment to our clients in anticipation of upcoming European regulatory requirements. With a single click, our owners will be able to confirm their yacht’s ownership, consult its history, or transfer its title in a simple, secure, and certified way”
“We are proud to collaborate with Bellini Yacht to bring the power of digital product passports to the yachting industry,” says Pierre-Nicolas Hurstel, CEO and co-founder at Arianee. “This partnership is a natural extension of our mission to empower brands to build lasting, trusted relationships with their customers through transparency, traceability, and enriched experiences. The launch of DPPs in this sector not only reinforces the value of the Arianee protocol, but also signals the growing importance of sustainability and trust in the luxury mobility space.”
In the longer term, Bellini has the ambition to equip its entire fleet with digital product passports.
