Since May 1st, Darty's partner factories in China have started implementing Digital Product Passports (DPPs). Over 150 products are already covered.
This pilot deployment allows us to:
- Embed passport generation directly at the source,
- Link the passport to the product from the moment it is manufactured,
- Introduce a new key milestone in the product lifecycle:
📍 Manufacturing – this event is automatically timestamped, strengthening transparency for all stakeholders.
🎯 This also brings a direct benefit to the end consumer:
Buyers gain access to trustworthy product information from the start, which helps build confidence in refurbished products — and now, in new ones as well.
👉 This milestone marks a significant step: embedding traceability from the product’s very first life.
