Introducing Arianee

The Arianee platform aims to revolutionize the process of authenticating branded products through a universal open-source protocol using blockchain technology. It will benefit the brands, owners, and third-party retailers involved with asset ownership, sale, and transfer, which will be facilitated via a multi-layered transparent and decentralized platform that includes an encrypted digital vault, unique smart-assets, a data hub, and a community business partner toolkit.

THE MULTI-TRILLION DOLLAR PROBLEM

In a world that is plagued with counterfeiting and piracy, there has been an unsettling, uptick in counterfeiting within the past decade — mainly due to the emergence of eCommerce. According to The International Chamber of Commerce, “The negative impacts of counterfeiting and piracy are projected to drain US$4.2 trillion from the global economy and put 5.4 million legitimate jobs at risk by 2022.” In fact, the majority of these financial losses are attributed to the displacement of sales taxes, directly affecting entire countries by limiting the government funds used for public good. The most insidious aspect is that the overwhelming majority of consumers purchasing forged goods are completely unaware of a product’s validity.

Counterfeiting is not only harmful to legitimate businesses, but to public health as pharmaceutical and safety products may be produced with little or no regulation, a huge potential danger to the average consumer. Investment and innovation are also stifled in countries where theft of intellectual property cannot be controlled, leading to an exodus of businesses and talent.

Pirates and counterfeiters are constantly developing advanced methods of bringing their phony goods to market. It’s time to leverage the blockchain to beat them at their own game. With the Arianee platform, society can fight back against these criminals and strive to end the global parade of counterfeits and knock-offs.
